The MIFA is an annual competition for professional, non-professional
and student photographers from all corners of the globe.
The 2nd annual Moscow International Foto Awards – MIFA 2015 has recently concluded. The awarding ceremony which was held in Moscow at the FotoLoft Gallery, Contemporary Art Centre Winzavod, is a gathering of the brightest and the most talented professionals, non-professionals and student photographers around the world. The MIFA was created by the people that are behind the glamorous Lucie Awards and the prestigious Paris Photo Prize. It is MIFA’s goal to create an ambitious and comprehensive medium to find the most amazingly talented photographers from all corners of the globe and introduce them to Moscow photography community.

Winners of every category are being showcased at the Best of Show exhibition at the FotoLoft Gallery in Moscow, Russia on November 3 to 10, 2015 and in a number of photography exhibitions around the world. Winners will also be able to find their works presented at the main page of the MIFA http://www.moscowfotoawards.com and each will receive MIFA certificates of achievements. Winning images will be published in a gallery exhibition catalogue accompanying press releases and newsletter announcements that will be featured in over thousands of sites around the web.
Entries came from photographers from 84 countries. Judges consisted of international experts in photography who reviewed each entry based on originality, creativity, excellence of execution and overall impact. Identities of the participants were not revealed to the jury panel to ensure fairness and integrity of the competition.
The first prize MIFA Portfolio Award winner has won a solo exhibition opportunity in a gallery in Moscow, a roundtrip airline ticket to Moscow, free online portfolio for a year by Orosso and a luxurious leather-bound portfolio. $500 cash prize also await the winner of the Moving Category winner and $100 for each 1st place category winner for both professional and non-professional levels. The 2nd Annual Moscow International Foto Awards follows the successful MIFA 2014 which was also held in Moscow FotoLoft Gallery.
