Professor Paddy Miller, one of the world’s leading authorities in leadership, has joined the judging panel of the second International Photographic Competition supported by BergHind Joseph.

Professor Miller lectures at IESE Business School in the United States, Europe and Asia and has also lectured for Harvard and the European International Business School. His published books include ‘Leadership education - The start of a voyage of discovery’ and ‘Mission critical leadership’.

Continuing her role from last year is Margaret Clarke, Picture Editor of The Times 2, and other judges will include BergHind Joseph’s Director of Design Excellence Smith Joseph and Director of Creative Delivery Michael Hirschl.

The competition is open until the end of December for entries on the theme of leadership, but with a specific twist to reflect the world we live in. The three categories are:

  • leadership in a time of change and uncertainty
  • leadership through inspiration
  • leadership and success

Ian Brownhill, BergHind Joseph’s Managing Director says, “We are honoured that Professor Miller has accepted our invitation to be a judge for the Photographic Competition. His understanding of the role of leadership is second to none, and he will make a valuable contribution to the success of the competition this year.”

Once again, BergHind Joseph is supporting The Artists Bill of Rights Campaign, ensuring that the competition’s terms and conditions are in accordance with the Campaign’s aims. The Artists’ Bill of Rights campaign promotes the adoption of a set of ethical standards for competitions and appeals to which creative works are submitted, for example, photographs, music, film, illustrations, graphic design and literary pieces such as stories and poems. We focus on copyright issues and how they affect everyone who enjoys creative pursuits.

In March 2013 Professor Miller’s fifth and latest book ‘Innovation as Usual: How to Help Your People Bring Great Ideas to Life’ will be published by the Harvard Business Press.
