Sixth international
Photo Metadata Conference
"Not just searching:
Finding is the key
to effective business"
Thursday, 17 May 2012
9:30 to 16:30 hrs
London (United Kingdom)
If you aren't at the conference by now, you've missed it. But don't worry. You can catch up on the action by viewing this twitter search link: phmdc12. (Thanks to David Riecks of Controlled Vocabulary, #davidriecks, for the link.)
Metadata has become enormously important in all the digital arts and will continue to be a valuable tool for editing, tracking, describing and attributing information and authorship to creators. Its importance for the growing orphan works problem cannot be overstated.
If you are not familiar with metadata and how to utilize it for your success, have a look at David's Controlled Vocabulary site.
If you work in video, see Philip Hodgett's new book, "Conquering the metadata foundations of Final Cut Pro X".
