Once again, we are proud to announce that the 2025 Scottish Nature Photography Awards are open for your submissions!

The Scottish Nature Photography Awards celebrate nature, wildlife and landscape photography as well as filmmaking in Scotland. The Scottish Nature Photography Awards has consistently adopted the Artists Bill of Rights principles.

Entries are open to professional and amateur photographers and filmmakers from around the world, but images and videos must be taken in Scotland.

Entries close at 24:00 hours GMT on 30th November 2025.

Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2025

Environmental
Natural Abstract
Scottish Botanical
Scottish Landscape - The Land
Scottish Landscape - Sea & Coast
Scottish Landscape - Urban Greenspace
Scottish Wildlife Behaviour
Scottish Wildlife Portrait

Junior Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2025 (open to under-18s). Up to 5 images on any Scottish nature subject.

Student Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2025 (for full or part-time students over-18 undertaking a photography element in their course). Portfolio of 3 images on the theme of 'Change'.

Scottish Nature Video Award 2025 for short films on a nature, wildlife or landscape theme made in Scotland by professional or amateur filmmakers.

Winning images and videos will be featured in a Touring Exhibition in 2026. Winning and shortlisted images and videos will be featured in the Portfolio Yearbook 2025.
