Scottish Nature Photography Awards 2021
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards celebrate nature, wildlife and landscape photography and filmmaking in Scotland.
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards Photographic Competition 2021 is open to professional and amateur photographers from around the world, but images must be taken in Scotland.
Entries close 24:00 hours GMT on 30th November 2021.
SNPA has consistently supported the principles of the Artists' Bill of Rights.
This is the 12th annual competition to seek the Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year. The categories are:
Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2021
- Environmental
- Natural Abstract
- Scottish Botanical
- Scottish Landscape - The Land
- Scottish Landscape - Sea & Coast
- Scottish Landscape - Urban Greenspace
- Scottish Wildlife Behaviour
- Scottish Wildlife Portrait
Junior Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2021 (open to under-18s). Up to 5 images on any Scottish nature subject.
Student Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2021 (for full or part-time students over-18 undertaking a photography element in their course). Portfolio of 3 images on the theme of 'Motion'.
Scottish Nature Video Award 2021 for short films on a nature, wildlife or landscape theme made in Scotland by professional or amateur filmmakers.

Winning images and videos will be featured in a Touring Exhibition in 2022. Winning and shortlisted images and videos will be featured in the Portfolio Yearbook 2021.
