The Competition

We want 2,012 artists aged 18 or under to create and submit square artworks, to be displayed on the exhibition and competition website, and turned into a book. Every month one artwork will be chosen as a winner and given a cash prize.
We are looking for photographers, painters, graphic designers, illustrators. anyone producing visual arts. All young people everywhere in the world are invited to submit one work for this year-long project.
The project will consist of an online exhibition of 2,012 works, which will be displayed in a rolling programme during 2012. Every three months, one work from the exhibition will be chosen as a winning entry and receive a prize of £100.
As a young artist you only have ONE opportunity to enter the competition during the year. Every 3 months 503 entries will be selected. Any entries not selected will be considered for the next 3 months alongside new submissions. Therefore all entrants have a chance to be selected throughout the year.
At the end of the exhibition and competition period, a commemorative book will be produced including all of the works selected for exhibition. An online retrospective exhibition archive will also be produced of all 2,012 works selected.
The exhibition and competition are aimed at emerging visual artists. All entrants must be aged 18 or under on 1st January 2012. The competition closing date is 31st December 2012
